1. trayGUARD+™ is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. |
| 2. These bottles, beginning as common drinking containers are placed in community recycling containers. When at a recycling facility, the containers are sorted by type and color. |
| 3. Bottles are stripped of their labels and caps, washed, crushed, and then chopped into flake. The plastic flake is then melted and extruded to create fiber. |
| 4. The fiber is crimped, cut, drawn and stretched into desired length for strength. |
| 5. The fiber is then baled, and processed into non-woven fabric with antimicrobial properties from which trayGUARD+™ is made. |
